In this video, our students share their personal experiences of studying at Keele. This video was published in February 2025 – experiences and opportunities may vary for future years.

It was really important to me that I could support myself and gain experience while studying at Keele. So, I applied for a role with Mondrem, a small not-for-profit organisation based in Keele Business School at the time. They were very purpose-driven, which aligned with my own values and aspirations.

I applied through the Keele Careers website, which involved submitting an application and CV. After that, I had a meeting with the Keele Careers team, who, while they saw me as a strong candidate, kindly pointed out that my CV needed some improvement. Looking back, that was the first time I truly felt that there were people on my side—people genuinely rooting for me. That sense of support has been a recurring theme throughout my time at Keele.

One of the most valuable and unique aspects of Keele is how well-connected it is with local businesses. I remember sitting in lectures, looking up, and seeing the offices of local companies surrounding Keele Business School. It made the transition from student to employee feel much more seamless and accessible, rather than a daunting leap into the world of work.

The biggest takeaway from my time at Keele is the people I've met—the unwavering support, encouragement, and belief that others have had in me. That sense of community is something I’ve never experienced anywhere else. Without it, I wouldn’t be doing what I am today.
